Last year (Jan 16, 2018) when the cold weather started to become noticeable we decided to buy a new camera. Every season we take a walk around the Downtown Lafayette, LA to our favorite intersection located just in front of the Acadiana Center for the Arts building (ACA). This intersection sits on the intersection of Vermilion and Jefferson Streets in Lafayette, LA. We currently have over 12 pieces that we have created as artwork for sale in this area. (The pieces scale from scenes such as Festivals and Artwalk in view)
This year we are donating a piece never before seen on a memorable night in the Acadiana area. (see video below) This video was originally seen on the Live And Local Facebook page | (see video by clicking here or watching below)
This piece will be donated to The Lafayette Art Association& Gallery located in The Oil Center at 1008 E Saint Mary Blvd Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. (Follow them Here) We are excited to be donating this piece and we are also excited to be bringing it to them this week. Please view their amazing annual fund raiser complete with a wine and cheese reception Friday November 2nd 2018 starting at 6:30pm – 9:30pm.
A mural created to celebrate LAA’s history will be unveiled during this reception also.
There will be a live and silent auction with over 30 member artists so if you are looking for that perfect gift or in this case artwork, take the time to make plans for this event. Art is a gift that has meaning to more than just one person. Trust me when I say sharing this event or becoming involved in your local art initiative is worth being a part of. Remember to come out and view some great pieces and celebrate the arts and creativity.
